Fairweather’s Team

Our Landscaping Team

Steve Browne (Designer & Manager)

I grew up in the New Forest and have always loved the natural world.I originally trained & worked in forestry then moved into horticulture.  With over 10 years of growing trees & then a wide range of plants on a wholesale nursery I have gained a solid background of plant knowledge.

A desire to get more creative with these wonderful plants, led me to a switch over to gardening & landscaping, and at the same time I studied Garden Design at Bournemouth College of Art & design.

I now have over 30 years experience of designing, building and maintaining all types of gardens. From small town houses to grand country homes, from shoestring budgets to extravagant projects- I enjoy the diversity and challenge that different gardens bring, and love working with garden owners to find out what they want from their garden. I think I have an eye for great design, coupled with first hand knowledge & experience of what is practical to build and maintain in the long term.

Out of work the majority of my time is spent with family life – two young sons and all that brings.  I am very involved with local youth football and am vice chairman of Hythe & Dibden Youth Football Club, providing a great environment for nearly 300 local youngsters to play and enjoy their sport and to develop and grow.
