Our fantastic range of Hellebores is now available
Give your garden some colour until March/April time with a Hellebore (or Helleborus). They are often known as a ‘Christmas Rose’ or a ‘Winter Rose’ although they aren’t actually related to the Rose family. They have attractive perennial, often evergreen foliage, which is generally poisonous.
Look out for the Rodney Davey & Harvington Series, which flower through January and February. Only £15 each or buy 2 for £25 from 1st January 2020, whilst stocks last.
The flowers have five “petals” (actually sepals) surrounding a ring of small, cup-like nectaries (petals modified to hold nectar). The sepals do not fall as petals would, but remain on the plant, sometimes for many months.
