Kitchen Porter – in Steff’s Kitchen

We are looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Porter in our café to help with the smooth running of our kitchen.

As a Kitchen Porter with us, your contribution is essential to the success of the kitchen. You will be in charge of keeping the kitchen spotless and making sure that our chefs have everything they need.

Experience isn’t necessary but as long as you have a sense of humour and a willingness to work hard, we will teach you the rest… To us, what makes you special is your attitude! This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a fast paced, fresh food kitchen.

Hours: 35 per week to include weekends.

Pizza Chef – Daytime Hours at Steff’s Kitchen

We are looking for a skilled and confident Pizza Chef with a genuine passion for fresh, homemade food to join our friendly kitchen team.

Our menus celebrate quality ingredients and seasonal produce, including fruit and vegetables grown just across the way in our own Patrick’s Patch.

This is more than a pizza-only role. We are seeking someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves, get properly involved and support the wider kitchen when needed.

About the Role

  • Daytime hours only: 9am to 5pm, seven days per week
  • Working within a busy and supportive kitchen team
  • Using our gas-fired pizza oven to create pizzas, flatbreads and daily specials
  • Preparing and cooking other dishes across the menu
  • Supporting with prep, service and general kitchen duties as required

About You

We would love to hear from you if:

  • You have at least two years’ experience in a busy kitchen environment
  • You are confident running a pizza section yet equally comfortable cooking other dishes
  • You enjoy working with fresh and seasonal produce
  • You are a true team player who is happy to get stuck in wherever needed
  • You take pride in consistency, cleanliness and high standards
  • You are looking for a role with sociable daytime hours and fair rewards, including favourable sick pay

Front of House Server (Progression to Team Leader) – Full Time

Hours: Generally 8:00am to 4:30pm. Shifts will vary within daytime operating hours.
Days: 5 days per week, including weekends
Location: Steff’s Kitchen
Start date: February 2026
Salary: Competitive – to be discussed at interview

Steff’s Kitchen is a family-run café and we’re looking for a confident, reliable Front of House Server to join our team. This is a full-time role with the opportunity to develop into a Front of House Team Leader.

It’s a great chance for someone who enjoys working in a busy environment and is ready to take the next step in their hospitality career.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced café setting
  • Supporting the front of house team with daily service and operations
  • Learning to manage rotas, timesheets, and basic admin tasks
  • Helping to keep the front of house running smoothly
  • Taking on more responsibility over time, with support and training

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need to have:

  • Experience working in a busy café or restaurant
  • Good basic IT skills, including confidence using Excel
  • Willingness to learn rota and timesheet systems (training provided)
  • Strong communication skills with customers and colleagues
  • The ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
  • A positive attitude and interest in developing into a leadership role

Front of House Server – Part Time

Hours: Shifts will vary within daytime operating hours.
Days: 5 days per week, including weekends
Location: Steff’s Kitchen
Start date: As soon as possible
Salary: Competitive – to be discussed at interview

We’re looking for a confident, reliable Front of House Server to join our team. This is a part time role.

The Role

Offering a warm welcome and attentive service throughout the customer journey. From taking orders and serving food to ensuring tables are beautifully presented and the café runs smoothly during busy periods, your role is key to creating a memorable experience.

What We’re Looking For

  • A naturally friendly and confident manner

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Calmness under pressure during busy services

  • A tidy, organised approach to work

  • Reliability and good timekeeping

  • A genuine enjoyment of working with people

Experience in hospitality is preferred but not essential for the right person with the right attitude.

Hours

Part time hours on a rota basis, including weekends. Flexibility is important as our busiest periods are during weekends and school holidays.
