We are looking for a knowledgeable Plantarea Manager with excellent customer service skills.
Established 60 years ago, Fairweather’s is a family owned and run Garden Centre- in Beaulieu, The New Forest. The centre has built a reputation for high quality plants and service and we have high standards of presentation and merchandising.
The role is hands on and will involve managing a small team of staff, increasing plant sales, assisting with marketing initiatives, face-to-face sales with customers, working closely with suppliers; purchasing and ensuring the department is well stocked in line with demand.
Candidates must be focussed on delivering great customer service, and friendly and informed advice.
The successful candidate must have:
Strong horticultural knowledge
Be able to supervise and mentor their team
Previous experience in a similar role or have held a similar role in garden centre retail and feel ready to take the next career step.
A positive, presentable and creative outlook
Must enjoy engaging with the public.
A flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team
Good physical fitness and be able to carry out some heavy lifting.
Good IT and numeracy skills.
The position is fulltime including every other weekend
Required for our daytime opening café restaurant.
We are looking for a strong charismatic person who is passionate about creative, quality homemade food and an excellent leader of people.
We need an experienced chef for our very busy 120 seater café restaurant which is open 9am to 5pm, 7 days per week.
We are a well-established destination in Beaulieu in the New Forest and have our own productive garden from where the kitchen receives vegetables and fruit.
We’d love to talk to you if-
You have at least 2 years’ experience as a call order head chef or senior sous chef.
Can show that you have implemented change in your current position by reviewing menus, processes, equipment and getting the best from your team?
Have an ability to communicate clearly with your team, and be able to demonstrate a healthy balance between cooking and managing the kitchen
