Fairweather’s Garden Centre began as a small, family-run business founded by Christopher and Aline Fairweather in 1961. What started with humble beginnings has grown into a unique destination for gardeners and visitors alike—while still staying true to its family values and love for horticulture.
Today, the next generation continues that legacy, combining decades of knowledge with a modern approach to gardening, retail, and customer experience.

Our approach focuses on reducing waste, water use, and energy consumption, as well as working with local suppliers to minimise carbon miles. We actively recycle pots, packaging, and green waste, and provide recycling points for customers. Wherever possible, we reuse materials, compost food and garden waste, and promote peat-free gardening. By growing our own produce, encouraging seasonal eating, and offering eco-friendly alternatives, we aim to make sustainability a natural part of everyday gardening and living.
